The Lesotho Cricket Association (LCA) has announced a full over haul of both the men’s and women’s national teams, as part of its broader strategy to strengthen the sport locally.
The association will host trials for the Under-19 Women and Senior Women’s teams from 29 to 30 November at Lesotho High School. These will be followed by the men’s Under-19 and Senior Men’s trials at the same venue on 6 and 7 December.
National teams coach, Dzikamai Alex ander Mavhiko, said the LCA is dissolving all existing national squads and rebuilding them from scratch. He emphasized that the trials are open to every eligible Mosotho player, including those based outside the country. Current national team players will also be required to compete for their places.
Mavhiko said they are resolving all national teams that were there, and the trials are open for everyone who wants to come and showcase their talent and abilities.
He said after the trials, the said selected players will be kept active through training camps and bilateral games in South Africa.
