The Population and Housing Census has officially started in two constituencies, Senqu and Mokhotlong, according to District Statistician Mr. Khokong Thinyane.
Mr. Thinyane said Malingoaneng remains the only constituency yet to begin, with counting expected to start later this week. The delay has been attributed to a shortage of data collection equipment, such as tablets, and the late arrival of enumerators for training.
Thinyane added that data collection in Bobatsi began on April 19, and the district has been assigned 300 enumerators.
The national census, conducted every ten years, was last held in 2016.
