Mohale FM Prime Minister Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane yesterday officially launched the construction of the road, which will connect the areas of Ha Matlali and Lebakeng in Qacha’s Nek.
The road will pass through the areas of Melikane, Ha Ramokakatlela and Mosenekeng, before crossing the Senqu River to reach Lebakeng Ha-Molomo.
Mr Matekane stated that the project also includes the construction of major bridges over the Tsoelike, Lijabatho, Melikane and Senqu rivers.
The Prime Minister further noted that the road project responds to key priorities outlined in the Second National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP II), which emphasizes road infrastructure development, improved travel efficiency, economic growth, trade and commerce, easier access to markets, as well as enhancing the country’s attractiveness and accessibility.
