Two Men Appear in Court on Sexual Assault

Two men, Motlatsi Motsoloane (35) of Ha Sechaba and Kamohelo Phala (18) of Ha Phala in Mohales’hoek appeared before the Mohale’s Hoek Magistrates’ Court today, facing charges of sexual assault.
According to Police Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent Thabo Mohai, the alleged incident involves a minor girl, who is the sister of the first accused. Senior Superintendent Mohai reported that the victim resides with her 98-year-old grandfather, who is mentally disabled. He further stated that on the night of 13 May 2026, at approximately 10 pm, the grandfather was already asleep, and the victim was at home with the accused.

The police allege that during the incident, the first accused left the residence, and the second accused then sexually assaulted the victim.
The victim reportedly disclosed the incident to a relative, leading to the arrest of the two accused. The court granted both men bail, and they are scheduled to appear in court again on June 1, 2026.
