Lesotho Hosts First Commonwealth Digital Roadshow and CTO Meeting

Lesotho has become the first country to host the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) Council Meeting alongside a Digital Roadshow.

Speaking during the 64th Council Meeting held yesterday, Secretary-General of the CTO, Ms. Bernadette Lewis, highlighted that the Digital Roadshow marks a historic milestone as the first of its kind to be hosted on the African continent.

She noted that the organisation’s 125th anniversary is not merely a celebration of its longevity, but a reflection of decades of leadership, innovation, and strong partnerships in advancing telecommunications and digital technologies across Commonwealth nations.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Information, Communications, Science and Technology, Ms. Nthati Moorosi, stated that in her role as Minister, she is mandated to ensure that Lesotho’s digital future is guided by deliberate national policies and concrete action.

She added that this mandate continues to drive the implementation of key policy programmes currently underway.
