The Chief of Corrections, Mr. Matingoe Phamotse, highlighted that the children have been given a rare opportunity to change their lives. He encouraged them to reintegrate into society as transformed individuals, noting the facility’s dedicated efforts to rehabilitate them effectively.
Representing UNICEF, Mr. Deepak Bhaskaran expressed pride in supporting this important work aimed at protecting children’s rights. He affirmed that every child deserves dignity, protection, and access to opportunities for learning and success.
A total of 22 boys received practical equipment designed to help them earn a living upon returning home, including sewing machines, gardening tools, and carpentry supplies.
