Health Ministry Donates Equipment to Makoanyane Military Hospital

The Ministry of Health has donated hospital equipment to Makoanyane Military Hospital in Maseru. The handover ceremony took place on Thursday this week and was attended by the Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Honourable Limpho Tau, who officially received the donation, together with the Deputy Prime Minister, Honourable Nthomeng Majara, who witnessed the delivery to confirm that the equipment had reached its intended destination.
The Minister of Health, Honourable Selibe Mochoboroane, explained that he was once a patient at Makoanyane Hospital after being brought there by Honourable Limpho Tau. He said that personal experience made him realize the importance of supporting the improvement of the hospital and the Ministry of Defence, which oversees it.
Meanwhile, Honourable Limpho Tau expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Health for the donation, stating that through this gesture, the Minister of Health has demonstrated recognition of the Lesotho Defence Force’s crucial role in the country.
For her part, Honourable Nthomeng Majara shared that during her visit in the United States, she learned about an organization called Project C.U.R.E., which provides assistance to countries in need of hospital equipment. She said she immediately contacted the organization to highlight Lesotho’s needs, and they responded positively. Majara further emphasized that the Lesotho Defence Force plays a vital role in delivering exceptional services to the nation.
