First National Bank Lesotho has officially opened its new branch in Lower Moyeni, Quthing, on Wednesday this week.
Speaking at the launch, FNB CEO Ms. Delekazi Mokebe said this is the fourth branch the bank has opened since the end of last year.
She said the bank was responding to the long-standing call from the people of Quthing to bring banking services closer to them.
Meanwhile, the area Chief, Makhaola Sempe Nkuebe, said the people of Quthing previously endured the hardship of having to travel all the way to Mafeteng to access banking services.
He expressed gratitude that those services have now been brought closer to the people, noting that many will benefit, including not only local residents but also cross-border clients from South Africa, particularly those from the Western and Eastern Cape, as they are neighboring communities to Liphakoe.
FNB now operates around 12 branches across Lesotho.
