Lekomola appointed beach volleyball National team Coach

Prominent volleyball player and administrator Moholo Lekomola is the new coach for the Lesotho beach volleyball womens national team.
Lekomola is replacing former coach Thabiso Maboee who resigned for the position recently.The resigned Maboee complained of inadequate backing from local coaches and the Lesotho Volleyball Association (LVA).
The Lesotho Volleyball Association confirmed the appointment of Lekomola last night.Lesotho Volleyball Association Public Relations Officer Chale Maanya said they had hoped Maboee would change his mind after meeting with LVA president Hlapane Tshehlo and discussing issues the coach was complaining about. However, Moboee did not change his mind.
The new coach is faced with a huge challenge to prepare and lead the team ahead of its crucial assignment- the CAVB Zone VI (6) Olympic Games qualification tournament scheduled for 30 April to 2 May in Maputo, Mozambique.
The team is pursuing 2028 Los Angeles Olympic qualification under the Olympic Solidarity Scholarship from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), facilitated through the Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC).
