Relebohile Sechache Elected New Mayor of Maseru

Lithoteng Councillor Relebohile Sechache has been elected the new Mayor of Maseru.

His appointment follows the Maseru City Council (MCC) elections for Mayor and Deputy Mayor held in the capital this Friday.

Councillor Sechache takes over from Motlalepula Sepipi, who now resumes his role as Stadium Area Councillor.

In the same election, Khubetsoana Councillor Thabo Sefuthi was elected Deputy Mayor.

Both the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor were sworn in during a ceremony held at the MCC premises in Maseru on Friday. They are expected to assume their duties immediately.
