Zimbabwe targets 360,000 title deeds for A1 and A2 farmers

Zimbabwe’s government says it is targeting the issuance of 360,000 title deeds to A1 and A2 farmers as it moves to formalise land tenure and strengthen security for beneficiaries of the land reform programme. Officials told a parliamentary committee that 1,418 deeds had so far been processed. The programme is intended to give farmers clearer legal rights and improve their ability to use land tenure documentation in accessing finance and investment.
