Zimbabwe’s power utility has authorised Intratrek Zimbabwe to resume work on the long-delayed 100MW Gwanda solar project and has set a 24-month completion period.
ZimLive reports that ZESA and Intratrek also renegotiated the project cost to below US$132 million from the original US$172 million. The project has been tied up in years of contractual and legal disputes after work stalled following its award in 2014.
