Mohale FM Vodacom Lesotho has temporarily suspended its affordable home internet product from June 19, 2026.
The suspension of the service, which was introduced to provide internet access at a lower cost of M300 per month, has disappointed a number of subscribers, particularly unemployed young people who relied on the package.
Speaking to the broadcaster, Vodacom Lesotho spokesperson Lehlohonolo Chefa said the suspension is due to an ongoing review aimed at assessing whether the product is operating as intended.
He explained that because the service is designed to be used only at the specific location registered by the customer, the company is conducting an evaluation to ensure compliance with the agreement between Vodacom and subscribers.
Although Mr. Chefa did not explicitly state the reason, there is speculation that misuse of the service may have contributed to the decision to suspend the product.
Meanwhile, one subscriber expressed disappointment over the company’s decision, saying the package was more affordable than other internet products currently available.
