The United Nations has renewed calls for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan as fighting continues to deepen one of Africa’s worst humanitarian crises. UN officials have warned that drone attacks, damage to health services and continuing violence are placing civilians at growing risk. More than six million people have been displaced inside Sudan and millions more have fled the country since the conflict began. The UN human rights chief has also called for an end to outside involvement in the war and a return to civilian-led political rule.
