Mohale FM The Matsoso family of Ha Tsolo is reeling from a tragic domestic incident that claimed the lives of both parents on Saturday evening.
According to reports, the incident was discovered by the couple’s daughter, who witnessed the events first hand and alerted others. The daughter explained that her parents had gone into their bedroom when she suddenly heard a sound resembling a gunshot. Upon approaching the room, she found her mother lying on the ground outside the bedroom door, apparently attempting to flee. Moments later, the father emerged, made eye contact with his daughter, and then turned the firearm on himself, shooting himself under the chin. Traumatised by the sight of both her parents lying lifeless on the ground, the daughter briefly contemplated taking her own life, but refrained after remembering that her sibling was still alive and needed her care.
The tragic incident has deeply shaken relatives, community members, and friends. Earlier today, family members and relatives gathered to reflect on the circumstances surrounding the incident, which they believe stemmed from unresolved domestic conflicts. Those in attendance used the gathering to appeal to men to speak openly about their challenges and seek help, rather than suppressing personal struggles that may lead to devastating outcomes
