Tensions in The Middle east Escalate.

The conflict in the Middle East has sharply escalated into a broader regional war following coordinated military strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran, part of what U.S. and Israeli leaders are calling Operation Epic Fury. These attacks reportedly included strikes deep inside Iran and targeted senior Iranian leadership. Tensions are now spilling across the Gulf and Levant, prompting warnings from the Arab League and global calls for restraint.

In response, Iran has launched retaliatory attacks — including missiles and drones — against Israel, U.S. bases, and Gulf states (Arab monarchies, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and more). Explosions have been reported in cities across the region, and smaller groups like Hezbollah have also resumed strikes against Israeli targets from Lebanon.

Due to the intense military activity, airspace across much of the Middle East has been closed, affecting key hubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Qatar and surrounding countries. Hundreds of thousands of travellers have been stranded or diverted as airlines cancel flights. Governments worldwide are issuing advisories and assisting stranded citizens.

At least three U.S. service members have been killed and others wounded amid the hostilities. The crisis is prompting countries like South Africa and Kenya to issue travel warnings and coordinate consular support for their citizens in the region.

The conflict is affecting global oil markets, trade routes, and international travel — with fears the crisis could continue for weeks or longer unless de-escalation occurs. Global powers, including China and members of the United Nations, are calling for diplomacy to prevent further spread, as regional alliances harden and diplomatic rifts deepen
