Tanzania has launched a pay-for-results initiative aimed at accelerating climate-smart growth in the dairy industry. The two-year, US$2.8 million AgResults competition will operate in Mbeya, Iringa, Njombe and Morogoro, rewarding businesses and service providers for verified delivery of products and services to dairy farmers. Authorities say the programme complements a larger national dairy transformation project and is expected to reach tens of thousands of farmers while expanding fodder production and climate-resilient practices.
