Tanzania’s Simba SC powered into the final qualifying round of the CAF Champions League after beating Malawi’s Mighty Wanderers 6-1 at Uhuru Stadium.
The emphatic result completed a 7-1 aggregate victory for Simba. Zambian midfielder Clatous Chama struck early and added a second before half-time, while Libasse Gueye was also among the scorers as the Tanzanian side dominated the contest.
Mighty Wanderers briefly reduced the deficit from the penalty spot, but Simba maintained control and pulled away decisively.
Simba will now face opposition from Equatorial Guinea in the final qualifying round, with a place in the lucrative Champions League group stage at stake.
