Princess ‘Maseeiso Mohato Seeiso has urged Basotho to work together in ensuring that children grow up in a caring and supportive environment.
She made the appeal during a visit to St. Cecelia Orphanage in Berea yesterday, where Rotary clubs from Lesotho and South Africa donated blankets and clothing as part of the “Keep a Child Warm” campaign.
The Princess said the initiative reflects the values of compassion, unity and generosity, adding that such partnerships are vital for the well-being of vulnerable children.
Rotary International Youth Chairperson, Makhetha Motsoari, said the donation was prompted by the harsh winter conditions affecting many children across the country.
St. Cecelia Orphanage founder, Father Austus Pule Mahlaku, thanked the Rotary clubs for their continued support and appealed for agricultural assistance to help the orphanage become more self-sufficient.
Princess ‘Maseeiso also spent time with the children, taking part in educational and recreational activities.
