Prince Lerotholi Mohato Seeiso to Be Inaugurated as Chancellor of Lerotholi Polytechnic

Lerotholi Polytechnic’s registrar Mrs. Maleshoane Lepota-Mosakeng says the school administration has reached a decision to inaugurate Prince Lerotholi Mohato Seeiso as the chancellor of the school on the 12th of December this year.

In an interview with Mohale FM, Mrs. Lepota-Mosakeng said this decision is in line with the Higher Education Act of 2004, section 22(1), which obliges higher learning institutions to have chancellors. She said his duties are not of a daily nature and does not interfere with the school’s daily operations.

Lepota – Mosakeng indicated that his duties will be to lead major activities of the school such as student graduations, to uphold the dignity of the school through his name, and to open doors for the school where it cannot find opportunities on its own.

She said this decision follows the relations that the school has with the Royal Family, as the founder of the school was Chief Lekena Lerotholi.
