Press Corporation Limited has acquired a 70% controlling stake in Mpaladizo Resort Limited from Wild Coast Estates, expanding the Malawian group’s exposure to tourism and hospitality. The transaction is valued at about K5.3 billion based on the disclosed consideration, while Wild Coast Estates retains a 30% interest. The Salima lakeshore resort is being positioned as a premium hospitality asset. PCL says the investment forms part of its diversification strategy and adds to its existing exposure to the tourism sector.
