The Lesotho Mounted Police Service is warning the public about rising cases of human trafficking amid growing demand for employment opportunities.
Speaking to Mohale FM on Wednesday, Lance Sergeant Ramonate from the Anti-Trafficking and Migration Control Unit said people should verify overseas job offers with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, police and relevant international organisations.
She urged the public to learn the signs of human trafficking and report suspected cases to the nearest police station, chiefs or other community leaders.
