From the Mohale FM bulletin dated 29.09.2026.
The Police Anti-Robbery and Car Theft Unit has warned Basotho to be cautious when buying vehicles from South Africa, particularly from individuals.
Inspector Ntsebe says some people fraudulently sell vehicles bought through bank financing before settling their loans, while others use stolen registration documents to pose as legitimate owners.
He says police cooperation with South African authorities has uncovered such cases, warning that unsuspecting buyers could lose their money and end up with illegally obtained vehicles.
