Police have raised concern over a growing number of cases of grave desecration and the theft of human remains in parts of Lesotho.nnIn Peka, Leribe, a body was recently found exhumed at Ha Lechesa, while two corpses were reportedly exhumed and decapitated at Ha Lepapa. Police suspect the remains could be sought for ritual purposes. Similar cases have also been reported in Berea. Authorities have urged communities to protect graves and reject beliefs linking human remains to wealth.
