Namibian businesses and civil society organisations are being encouraged to work more closely together to improve the impact of corporate social investment programmes.
The Namibian reported on 10 September 2026 that the recently launched CSI Mukopano platform is bringing together companies, civil society and the public sector to promote more strategic, impact-driven social investment. The platform was launched in July and held its inaugural conference on 3 September.
The initiative reflects a shift away from isolated corporate-project partnerships towards broader collaboration between institutions. Supporters of the model argue that shared planning and resources can help corporate social investment address community needs more effectively and contribute to longer-term socioeconomic development.
The platform is expected to encourage partnerships that link private-sector funding with civil-society expertise and public-sector priorities.
