‘Muso Appears in Court on Charge of Killing Wife

A 21-year-old man, Tsokolo ’Muso of Liteleng in Motete, Butha-Buthe, appeared before the Butha-Buthe Magistrate’s Court on 23 February this year, charged with the murder of his wife.

According to reports, the accused had allegedly been accusing his wife of infidelity, claiming that their one-year-old child was not his but belonged to his 25-year-old elder brother.

It is further alleged that on 16 February, the couple became involved in an argument over the paternity of the child. During the altercation, the man is said to have strangled and bitten the woman, resulting in her death.

The accused remains in custody and is expected to return to court on 5 March this year.
