Mozambique has approved new domestic-work regulations requiring written employment terms, social-security registration and stronger protection against harassment.
The rules set a maximum 48-hour working week, provide 12 days of leave in the first year and 30 days of paid annual leave thereafter, and introduce maternity and paternity protections. A sector minimum wage is to be set after consultation with the Labour Consultative Commission.
