Mozambican business leaders are seeking closer cooperation with United States companies to help local small and medium-sized firms participate more fully in the country’s major gas projects.
The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique said engagement with a Texas-Africa business delegation could open opportunities in gas, agribusiness, industry, technology, construction, mining and other sectors. The discussions focus on transferring expertise, building partnerships and improving local-company participation in large investments.
A larger US business mission is expected to visit Maputo and Nampula in October as both sides explore new commercial links.
