Mozambican business leaders say economic activity accelerated in the second quarter of 2026, supported by stronger demand for services, exchange-rate stability and more favourable interest-rate conditions.
The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique said its Macroeconomic Environment Index increased from 55% in the first quarter to 58% in the second.
CTA president Álvaro Massingue said the improvement came despite a difficult operating environment, with businesses continuing to monitor credit conditions, prices and demand.
