Eleven people convicted over the 2016 mob killings of members of the Makhetha family in Ha Lebentlele, Berea, have appealed against their convictions and sentences.
Mathato Mafeisi and 10 others are challenging the High Court ruling.
Mafeisi was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole, while seven others received 45-year sentences. They argue that the court wrongly attributed mob actions to individual accused persons and that some identification evidence was insufficient.
The appeal will be heard on October 19.
