Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged farmers to learn from one another and benchmark their performance against successful producers as the country seeks to raise agricultural output.
Speaking during a visit to Pricabe Farm in Kwekwe, Mnangagwa said farmers should study both successes and failures locally and elsewhere in the region to improve productivity.
The 405-hectare farm produces maize, wheat, barley, sugar beans and potatoes, providing a practical example of diversified commercial farming.
The President said knowledge-sharing and stronger production methods would be important as Zimbabwe works to improve food security and agricultural competitiveness.
