Palycetra / Radio DJ

Palesa Thokoa, also known as Palycetra, is a multi-talented radio and TV presenter, actress, club DJ, and businesswoman from Maseru, Lesotho. A well-known figure in the entertainment industry, she began her journey at the age of 16 in 2005 and is currently celebrating 20 years in the business.

Palycetra’s vibrant voice has become a staple in Lesotho’s radio scene, with her hosting various radio shows over the years. She’s currently on Mohale FM’s Afternoon Fuel and has previously graced the airwaves with her Afternoon Drive shows on several radio stations. Her mission is to make young people feel valued, inspired, and motivated to embrace life with a positive mindset and strive for success.

Her television career took off in 2010 when she appeared on Africa Magic Plus’s “Discover Lesotho”. She also played the iconic role of Sis Flory in “Kau La Poho,” one of Lesotho’s most beloved local films. In addition, she earned 2nd place twice in the Vodacom Superstars Female DJ Competition.

Palycetra has a deep love for music, especially house, hip-hop, R&B, and Kwaito, which she often incorporates into her DJ sets.

Her dream is to pursue a career in acting, appearing more frequently in front of the camera, while also expanding her entrepreneurial ventures in the beauty industry, with plans to own and operate beauty businesses both in Lesotho and beyond.
