With the Christmas and end-of-year holidays approaching, the Maseru City Council (MCC) says it often faces increased congestion in the city’s parking areas during this busy period.
Speaking to Mohale FM, MCC Communications Manager Ms. Lintle Bless said the council has committed to taking a different approach this year to help address the recurring challenge.

Ms. Bless emphasized that cooperation from the public will be essential in reducing conflicts. She urged motorists to use designated parking spaces only and to avoid parking in prohibited areas. She acknowledged that while parking spaces in Maseru are limited, they must be used correctly to allow the council to carry out its duties effectively.
She also appealed to street vendors, urging them to stop placing their stalls wherever they choose, as this contributes to disorder and disputes, especially during a period of increased traffic and congestion.
