MCC Public Relations Manager Mrs. Lintle Bless says the ongoing rehabilitation of inroads within the Maseru City Council (MCC) is progressing well, as no challenges have been reported yet.
Ms Bless said the project is implemented in shortcut roads which reduce the traffic volume from main roads within MCC boundaries. She said it commenced in four villages, which include among others, a 3.2 kilometre (km) at Ha Thetsane, Lekhalong to Ha Tsolo, 2.7 km at Lesia High School to Ha Lekhooa, as well as the 2.7 km road from Lekhalong to Lesia and Ha Kou to Qoaling.
She indicated that they include gravel and pavement layer construction, saying they were selected based on dimensions and public usage.
Meanwhile the project commenced in February and MCC, with the assistance of the government has put aside over M38, 000, 000. 00 for rehabilitation of inroads.
