A 31-year-old man from Motete Boritsa, Teboho Mphamo, has appeared before the Butha-Buthe Magistrate’s Court accused of seriously assaulting his two wives.
Police say the incident happened on August 24 after Mphamo accused his first wife of having a romantic relationship with another man. His second wife was also assaulted when she tried to intervene.
Police spokesperson Superintendent Thabo Mohai says Mphamo is being held at a correctional facility and will return to court on September 23.
