MAKOANYANE SQUARE CONTRACTOR SPEAKS ON PROGRESS

Mr. Fanyane Mofokeng,the  Water Proofing and Marbelite Contractor at Makoanyane Square says it is business as usual even during the Christmas holidays as they are now rehabilitating and fixing fountains at this memorable place.

He said this yesterday on Christmas day indicating now that the Maseru circle has been completed for now, they are working towards ensuring that Makoanyane Square becomes attractive as well.

He explained that the main agenda here is to ensure that the Square, which contains a war memorial, commemorating Basotho soldiers otherwise veterans killed in World War II is able to properly handle electronically water fountains.

By doing so, he said Lesotho will have a new shape and image, one that will not only beautify the country but serve as a tourist attraction place. Over and above that, he explained Lesotho is a water rich country and such will be showcased at this place.

According to Mr. Mofokeng, hand in glove with partners from the People’s Republic of China, they are working tirelessly so that goals and targets set are attained soonest hence are still working even today.

He appealed to Basotho to protect places such as these ones so that they remain a mark and symbol that taps into the emotions of other foreigners, indicating tourism can go a long way in promoting economic growth.
