Lesotho has fully reopened its borders for trade in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs, as well as livestock products.
Agriculture Minister Selibe Mochoboroane says the decision follows the country’s control of the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak.
The first cases were reported in Botha-Bothe on February 18 this year.
Mochoboroane says the reopening will help restore livestock trade with South Africa and other countries.
