Lesotho Launches Integrated National Financing Strategy

The Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Dr. Retšelisitsoe Matlanyane, has officially launched the Lesotho Integrated National Financing Strategy (INFS) in Maseru today. The strategy aims to improve the way the country mobilizes and uses financial resources to achieve national development goals.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Matlanyane said Lesotho faces challenges such as economic uncertainty, climate change and rising financing costs, making it necessary to adopt a more coordinated and sustainable financing system.
She highlighted four key priorities of the strategy: strengthening domestic resource mobilisation, improving public financial management, increasing private sector investment and enhancing coordination among development partners and government stakeholders.
The Minister called on all stakeholders, including development partners, investors and civil society organizations, to work together to ensure the successful implementation of the strategy and to build a prosperous, inclusive and resilient Lesotho.
