Lesotho has positioned itself as a partner and producer rather than relying on assistance, during the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The country highlighted the Trans-Atlantic Cotton Partnership, which links American cotton producers with manufacturers in Lesotho, Kenya and Mauritius to strengthen textile production, create jobs and increase exports.
Lesotho also discussed cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA on maternal health, youth development, gender-based violence and preparations for the 2026 National Census.
