In celebration of Botswana and Lesotho’s double jubilee of independence, MM Legacy Tours has partnered with 30 countries to mark these milestones through a vibrant cultural trade expo.
The trade expo will commence in Lesotho this September, showcasing the rich and diverse cultures of Africa. The event aims to promote African culture on the global stage and foster unity across the continent.
Kefuoe Maroma, one of the event organizers, emphasized that it is high time Africa unites and breaks down barriers created by borders. She stated that the cultural trade expo is just the beginning of African unity.
Ms Maroma also highlighted a unifying trait among Africa’s diverse cultures — their shared blackness in skin tone — as a symbol of the continent’s collective identity.
The event was held at Teya-teyaneng yesterday.
