Mohale FM The Ministry of Home Affairs in Lesotho has launched a five-day stakeholder consultation workshop to modernize and digitize the country’s national identity management system. Held from June 29 to July 3 at the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI) Boardroom, the workshop gathers key government agencies, technical experts, and development partners to shape the future of civil registration and identity services.
This initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to develop a Modernization Framework aimed at strengthening the national identity ecosystem.
It seeks to enhance civil registration, immigration, passport issuance, and identity management through digital innovation.
To support this, AAM Consultancy, led by Mr. Akos Szirmdi, has been engaged to assess existing systems and design comprehensive architecture for the reform process.
