From the Mohale FM bulletin dated 28.09.2026.
HOPE-Mphatlalatsane leader, ‘Machabana Lemphane-Letsie has called for Members of Parliament who are repeatedly absent from Parliament to have their names read out during sittings.
Her proposal follows Friday’s sitting, which was delayed for more than 10 minutes because only 28 of the 120 MPs were present, below the required quorum of 30.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of parliament and his deputy have previously raised concerns that absenteeism is disrupting parliamentary business.
