King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has issued a strong call for peace and restraint amid rising tensions over migration, urging the Zulu nation to reject violence against foreign nationals.
Addressing attendees at the 12th International Day of Yoga celebration at the Durban Amphitheatre yesterday, held under the theme “Yoga for Anti-Ageing”, the King stressed that no grievance, regardless of the level of frustration, justifies bloodshed or the assault of another person.
King Misuzulu acknowledged growing concerns around migration, saying South Africa’s image across the African continent had been negatively affected by the ongoing debate.
Despite his concerns over undocumented migration, the king maintained that all issues should be addressed peacefully and within the confines of the law, reiterating his appeal for unity and non-violence.
