The High Court is on 27 October 2025, expected to hear more evidence in a case in which former army commander, Lieutenant General Tlali Kamoli, and other soldiers are charged in connection with the 2014 bombings.

Kamoli is charged alongside Pitso Ramoepana, Litekanyo Nyakane, Heqoa Malefane, and Mohlalefi Seitlheko. They face charges of attempted murder and malicious damage to property.

It is alleged that the group bombed the homes of former First Lady ‘Maesaiah Thabane, nee Liabiloe Ramooholi, at Moshoeshoe II and former Commissioner of Police Khothatso Tšooana at Ha-Abia. The case is being heard by Justice Charles Hungwe.

Meanwhile, the High Court is also set to continue hearing evidence from the defence in another high-profile case between 27 and 31 October 2025, involving the murder of radio personality Ralikonelo “Leqhashasha” Joki, as well as Mothibe Mothibe and Thomello Ntsane.

The accused — Mothusi Tlelase, Sootho Liphoto, Kamo Phakoe, and Moabi Sesioana — have begun presenting their defence after their application for discharge was dismissed.

The four are alleged to have shot and killed Joki at Lower Thamae on 14 May 2023, and later killed Mothibe and Ntsane at Mokema on 20 May 2023.

This case is before Justice Tseliso Mokoko.
