Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema says every citizen has something important to contribute to national development, praising two supporters who travelled long distances to show their backing.
Hichilema met Maggie Sapatu, who walked for 18 days from Mwinilunga to Lusaka, and Jeremiah Tembo, who cycled from Lusangazi to attend his inauguration. He said their efforts reflected the importance of ordinary citizens in shaping the country’s future.
The President also reiterated his government’s commitment to free education and said policies should continue to prioritise vulnerable families.
