Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has reappointed Situmbeko Musokotwane as finance minister following the country’s recent election.
Musokotwane has held the portfolio since 2021 and played a central role in Zambia’s debt restructuring programme. The government is now seeking a new International Monetary Fund programme before the end of the year as it works to consolidate economic reforms and strengthen public finances.
