admin The fundraising campaign established to support Nnete Leotlela, the child who narrowly survived a vicious dog attack, has raised close to half a million maloti as of 7:00 a.m. today.
The funds have been mobilized through donations from individuals, organizations and businesses, as well as a range of fundraising initiatives, including sporting events and charity activities.
The campaign organizers have expressed their sincere appreciation to everyone who has contributed and to those who continue to organize fundraising efforts, noting that the family’s medical expenses continue to increase as Nnete receives ongoing treatment.
Earlier, Nete’s father, Reatile Leotlela, also thanked the public for the overwhelming support shown to his son during this challenging period.
Mr Leotlela said the family is deeply grateful for every prayer, message of encouragement and financial contribution received, and prayed that everyone who has extended a helping hand will be abundantly blessed.
Meanwhile, Nete is reported to be making encouraging progress in his recovery and is now able to communicate using sign language.
