Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Ts’eliso Kalake has been laid to rest in Lekokoaneng, Ha-Souru in Berea, in a state funeral.
Speaking during the funeral service this Friday, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Tlohang Sekhamane, conveyed condolences to the Kalake family and urged them to support the deceased’s widow and child as they cope with the loss.
The Principal Chief of Ha-‘Mamathe, Chief Sempe Khabasheane Masupha, described the death as painful, saying Kalake was still young and expected to serve the country for many years.
His elder brother, Mokoko Kalake, said Ts’eliso died earlier this month after suffering from a kidney illness. He was admitted to Makoanyane Hospital before being transferred to Queen ’Mamohato Memorial Hospital, where he died.
