FNB Eswatini reported a decline in profit for the year ended June 2026 even as the bank recorded growth in total income.
Profit before tax fell about 3% to E335.7 million, while profit after tax declined to E257.7 million. The pressure came as operating and administrative costs rose and impairment charges increased.
At the same time, net interest income before impairments grew by about 8% and non-interest revenue rose 12%, with digital banking channels continuing to contribute to the bank’s performance.
The results underline the tension between revenue growth and rising operating costs in Eswatini’s banking sector.
