European Union ambassadors have extended sanctions listings linked to Russia by seven days after governments failed to agree on the usual six-month renewal.
Reuters reports that the extension runs to September 22 while member states continue negotiations, including a dispute over whether Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov should remain listed. The measures cover close to 3,000 people and entities and require unanimous approval from all EU governments.
